Romane Vancauwelaert is a second-year Master’s student in Digital Law at the University of La Rochelle, specializing in Trusted Third Parties and Digital Security. She holds a bachelor's degree in law from Paris Nanterre University and went on to complete a master's degree. She is currently doing her end-of-studies internship at the Cyberjustice Laboratory.

Throughout her academic journey, she has developed expertise in digital law, regulatory compliance, and data protection. She completed an internship within the legal team at Adform in Copenhagen, an international digital advertising company, where she conducted contractual analyses (NDAs, partnership agreements), examined GDPR compliance issues in a cross-border context, and contributed to the drafting of internal policies aligned with European law, particularly regarding political advertising. She also collaborated with technical and product teams on the implementation of the privacy by design principle.

Her experience in a law firm and within the legal department of Ubisoft further strengthened her interest in digital legal issues.

Particularly attentive to the protection of minors online and to cyberjustice, she is interested in platform regulation, the protection of vulnerable audiences, and the adaptation of law to technological change.
