Zoé Schwindt is a research assistant at the Cyberjustice Laboratory. She holds a dual Bachelor of Science in Law and Applied Foreign Languages from Université Savoie Mont-Blanc, as well as a Masters of Law and Technology from the University of Ottawa. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Law at Université de Montréal and plans to pursue a PhD on the regulation and governance of virtual and augmented reality.
Her research focuses on the legal framework for these immersive technologies, including the applicability of intellectual property law and other areas of business law in virtual worlds. She also works on legal issues related to artificial intelligence.
Zoé has also worked at the Centre for Research in Law, Technology and Society at the University of Ottawa, and is part of the Interdisciplinary Student Initiative at the University of Montreal, which is committed to the responsible use of AI. As part of this project, she is actively contributing to the creation of a podcast titled "IA Débat." In 2025, she was awarded the L.R. Wilson Chair of Excellence.
