The Cyberjustice Laboratory Will Host the 17th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Law (ICAIL 2019)

Following King’s College London in 2017, The Cyberjustice Laboratory has been chosen by The International Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law to host and co-organize this prestigious conference, at which the foremost international experts on the subject of artificial intelligence and law gather every two years.  “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome leading experts on the subject in Montreal, confirming this city’s status as an integral part of the world’s artificial intelligence ecosystem,” notes the Laboratory’s director, Professor Karim Benyekhlef.

This measure of confidence bestowed by the scientific community is the highpoint of the ambitious scientific program conducted by the Cyberjustice Laboratory’s research team in the field of artificial intelligence, law and justice.

Thanks to the support of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Law and the proactive policy upheld by the University of Montreal in the field of AI, the Cyberjustice Laboratory will be a part of the research in law and AI throughout the 2018-2019 academic year, as well as the discussion of Internet Governance, with the organization and hosting of international conferences as ICAIL 2019 and ICANN 2019.
