Inauguration of the 3IA Chair

The day began with the recording of a radio show on the theme "Justice and Algorithms" with Professors Benyekhlef, Teller and Lewkowicz and Lexbase Director Fabrizio Papa-Techera (soon available on www.lexradio.fr)

 

This was followed by the sponsorship and group photo of the Benyekhlef 2019-2020 - Fablex promotion at the Villa Passiflore of the Faculty of Law and Political Science.

 

In the afternoon, Professor Benyekhlef gave the seminar: "Autour des Online Dispute Resolution : la question du rattachement de l’ODR au processus judiciaire. Vers une privatisation de la justice ? »

 

Professor Benyekhlef began with a historical approach to the concept of cyberjustice and ODR, before presenting the PARLe platform of the Cyberjustice Laboratory.

 

 
The day ended with Professor Benyekhlef's participation in a multidisciplinary round table discussion bringing together judges, lawyers, researchers, legaltech and data researchers.

In homage to Alexandre Koyré (1892-1964) - mathematician, philosopher, and historian of science, illustrious theorist of the "scientific revolution" - the Chair of Economic Law and Artificial Intelligence aims to explore, analyse and criticize the phenomenon of "Deep Tech" from a legal perspective. It is directed by Marina Teller, professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Université Côte d'Azur, and holder of the 3IA Chair at the 3IA Côte d'Azur. This Chair articulates different themes, including issues of AI regulation, data protection in smart cities, the legal framework for blockchains, and the use of AI in the banking and financial sector.

It aims to position the Université Côte d'Azur as a driving force in the field of research in artificial intelligence law. It is one of the pillars of the Deep Law for Technology (DL4T) research program, which aims to contribute to the construction of legal standards necessary due to the emergence of deep tech in the field of big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain.
